In 2011, while writing “Pitchfork,” I conceived a story about a false prophet who claimed to be the new savior of the world and amassed a cult following. Concurrently, Jesus, having been exiled from heaven, roamed the earth incognito to observe humanity. Now, as we witness a similar figure with a cult following emerge in reality, I’ve revisited this narrative. Though it’s a brief piece, approximately 1700 words, resembling more of a parable, its relevance to current events is striking. This will be a Horror Ink mailing list exclusive.
